Arkansas State XC Meet Recap 2018Published by
Fischer Wins 3rd Title, Bentonville Rolls In 6A By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Camren Fischer of Fayetteville put his final stamp on the Arkansas state meet over the weekend as he won the Class 6A individual title in 16:19.9 at Oaklawn Park Race Track. Fischer, ranked No. 15 nationally, won his third state title. Bentonville demonstrated dominance as the state's top program, sweeping the boys and girls titles. The boys scored 28 points and went 2-4-5-7-10 behind Fischer. Sophomore Ali Nachtigal of Rogers won the 6A girls race in 19:26.4, but Bentonville runners went 2-4-6-10-14 to score 37 points. Rogers was second with 40. Dominic Ward of Greenbrier (16:46.1) and Sara Steimel of Jonesboro Senior (20:03.5) won the Class 5A races. Parker Ables of Heber Springs won the Class 4A boys race in 16:53.5. Hunstville went 2-4-7-10 on the way to a decisive team victory. Ruthy Ryan led Harrison to the 4A girls title with her victory in 20:57. Harrison went 1-3-6-9. Kendall Hayes of West Fork led her team to the Class 3A title with her individual win (20:30.1). She won by 43 seconds. The Cave City boys went 2-3-5-7 on the way to a 3A team win. Lexington Hilton of Green Forest ran 16:38.8 to win the race.
